The entire Grade Tech team recently met to participate in a day-long team gathering. What was planned as a fun and inspirational team-bonding experience unfortunately turned into a tragedy. But in true Grade Tech style, our team stepped up to the plate to help minimize the damage at the scene. What could have been a negative experience for our team was turned into a true bonding moment.
“Our team went in expecting one experience, but faced an unexpected – and dangerous – obstacle,” said Rory Hall. “I couldn’t be more proud of how our guys came together and pitched in to help recover what was lost.”
Once the danger had passed and the situation was under control, the Grade Tech team made the best of the situation and ended the day with an impromptu tailgate party to celebrate Billy Hall’s birthday (#68, but who’s counting?). The tailgate gathering also gave everyone a chance to unwind and process what happened.
At the end of the day, despite the sad circumstances, we walked away a more cohesive, tight-knit group – which was the original goal of the outing. We went through a difficult thing together, and it brought us closer.
