Grade Tech Safety

Our safety program emphasizes training and communication as well as top-grade equipment. We continuously evaluate the program components to stay current with best practices and ensure that we are taking the right steps to protect our team, our customers and the surrounding community. Components of our program include:

Safety Meetings

We start each day at the jobsite with a daily tailboard or safety meeting to discuss potential job hazards or issues prior to starting work. We also meet monthly with the entire team to review policies and procedures and discuss potential risks.

Equipment

We invest in the most advanced equipment for powerline and substation work and provide our team members with all of the protective equipment they need to keep them safe on the job.

Training

At GradeTech, we believe that the best defense against accidents is proper training. Therefore, we invest in Substation Entry Training and OSHA 10-hour training courses for all team members and provide additional training as needed.

Communication and Accountability

We have an open-door communication policy and practice spotting and awareness each and every day; encouraging our team to watch for safety hazards/conditions and speak up when they see something that is unsafe. We also encourage information sharing amongst team members. By sharing experiences, we can all learn from one another and work more safely.
