In addition to enjoying the tournament itself, Brad Richardson said he always enjoys being a part of this fund raising event as it promotes a worthy cause.

“Working in an industry where accidents can be devastating, a priority at Grade Tech has always been and remains centered around the safety of our team,” Brad Richardson expressed. “Seeing just how difficult it is to overcome injuries associated with burn incidents hits home for our team which is why we continue to enjoy sponsoring this incredible event for a more than worthy cause.”

The Kibbie/Weaver Annual Burn Camp Golf Tournament benefits the University of Utah Health Burn Camp Program which specializes in supporting the survivors of burn-related incidents. The program was specifically designed to assist burn survivors navigate new found physical, mental, and emotional challenges that come as a result of burn injuries. The camps help children as young as 4 years old up to young adults access necessary tools that aid in their recovery. Each camp is staffed with professional care teams including: nurses, firefighters, physical therapists, and volunteers to ensure that each camper is well cared for and can maximize their healing efforts.

This is the 14th year the annual tournament was held. The name of the event pays homage to Utahans Doc Weaver and Mike Kibbie, who dedicated time and effort into building and supporting the University of Utah Burn Camp.
