The heavy iron we operate every day moves a lot of dirt, but we believe our most vital work happens when we use our platform to build a stronger foundation for the local community. For the fifth consecutive year, Grade Tech is proud to return as an official sponsor for the 18th Annual Ride the Brainwave event, a massive multi-day fundraiser benefiting the Children and the Earth charity.

Since our initial sponsorship rollout back in 2022, supporting this specific organization has become an unyielding tradition for our ownership and crew. Children and the Earth is a local Utah non-profit dedicated to assisting children and families who have had their lives turned upside down by terminal, rare, and life-threatening medical illnesses.

Bringing Joy and Relief to Local Families

A pediatric medical crisis hits a family with immense emotional and financial strain. Children and the Earth steps into that gap by providing practical, immediate assistance. They cover outstanding medical and therapy bills, fund wheelchair-accessible home modifications, put gifts under trees at Christmas, and fulfill bucket-list travel wishes that allow families to build lifelong memories together. In the ultimate tragedy, they also assist grieving parents with funeral expenses.

For Rory Hall, the decision to maintain a powerful sponsorship presence for half a decade comes down to core family values.

“Children and the Earth is a wonderful charity that helps the most vulnerable in our society—kids,” Rory explains. “There is nothing worse than seeing a child suffering, so if we can help raise money to help this organization bring some joy to these children and help their families care for them, we’re gonna do it.”

A Weekend Built on Community Horsepower

Held at the Sandy Promenade on June 12 and 13, 2026, the 18th Annual Ride the Brainwave event channeled the collective strength of the local automotive, off-road, and heavy civil communities into actionable charity work. The weekend layout gave attendees a variety of ways to participate and donate:

  • The Vehicle Rallies: High-velocity turnouts for the motorcycle rally, the Jeep fun run, the UTV rally, and the open car show.
  • The Run and Roll 5K: A community walk, run, and roll to honor fallen angels and support children currently fighting severe medical battles.
  • Family Entertainment: A dedicated kids fair packed with activities, a massive lineup of local food trucks, vendor booths, and a live auction.
  • The Main Stage Concerts: High-energy evening musical performances from top local rock and country bands closing out both nights of the event.
