Grade Tech employees and their family members were treated to an awesome July 4th weekend at the 88th Annual Oakley City Independence Day Rodeo which was held at the Oakley Recreation Center. As a Chute and Saddle Bronc sponsor, Grade Tech had 50 rodeo tickets and VIP dinner tickets for each night of the sold-out event. The GT team showed up in force and with their company-supplied hats and t-shirts, they were visible throughout the weekend!

“It’s always a great time at the rodeo,” exclaimed Rory Hall, Grade Tech Co-Founder and COO. “We are proud to support this patriotic, family event and to treat our team and their families to good food and good fun. It’s a great way to bring our team together outside of work to enjoy the holiday weekend.”

The four-day event, which is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), included four rodeo performances each day, fireworks, and a specialty act, trick rider Haley Proctor. The competition included bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, girls’ breakaway roping, girls’ barrel racing, boys’ tie-down roping, and, of course, bull riding.

Grade Tech’s sponsorship advertisement for the event, which was shown on the Jumbotron screen throughout the weekend and was printed in the event program, once again paid homage to our country’s founding fathers and their tenacity and work ethic—a tradition being carried on by the Grade Tech teams and other blue-collar workers across the nation.
