They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. That rule is great for some things—maybe even most things—but not when it comes to ConEXPO. Our crew came home from Vegas with a lot of new information, ideas and awareness of what’s out there in the construction world!
Grade Tech’s entire crew and their families/significant others took a four-day weekend (March 16 – 19) to the show, held in the Las Vegas Convention Center, where they joined with the show’s more than 139,000 attendees to learn about the newest equipment available and future direction of the construction world.
After traveling to “Sin City” on Thursday, the Grade Tech crew spent all day Friday and Saturday at the Convention Center, meeting with equipment companies, product vendors, and fellow contractors and attending educational sessions. A few people took the opportunity to get new tattoos at one of the show booths and Rory Hall, competed in a trivia game on the Caterpillar stage—and won! The crew was also escorted to and from the convention center in style, in a fully-equipped party bus (now what happened on the bus, stays on the bus!).
In addition to “doing business,” a lot of fun was had by the entire crew. Grade Tech treated the team to a steak dinner on Friday night and gave everyone the night off on Saturday to do whatever they chose.
“I feel very lucky to work for a company that is truly dedicated to expanding the knowledge base of each individual and the team as a whole! CONEXPO is one of the greatest examples of that. It really showed me that the passion to keep improving, and to stay on the leading edge, not the bleeding edge of technology and equipment in our industry is shared by all from the bottom to the very top of our company. Rory and Billy are fully invested in building guys to their full potential. ” said Alex Goodwin, Grade Tech Foreman.
