Zach Conder, Grade Tech Foreman, is celebrating 3 years with the company this month. To commemorate that milestone, he is supporting the Huntsman Cancer Foundation at the University of Utah, a cutting-edge research foundation that aims to understand the beginnings of cancer better and more effectively treat cancer. The foundation is working to pave the way for new clinical trials and safer and more effective treatments—all in an effort to end cancer.
Grade Tech donated $1,000 to the organization in Zach’s name as part of the company’s “giving back” program which supports the local community by celebrating employees’ work anniversaries (after the first 3 years of employment) by making annual donations to the employees’ “charities of choice.”
Zach has a very personal reason for choosing the foundation to receive the donation. His mom has been battling cancer for several years and he has seen the toll it takes on patients and families.
A self-proclaimed “throwback,” Zach is a true champion of the trades. The Wyoming native, who moved to Utah in his teens, was raised in a blue-collar family and proudly carries on the family tradition of working hard from morning until night doing what he loves to do. When he joined Grade Tech in 2021 as a Heavy Equipment Operator, he jumped right in and learned how to operate new equipment and never looked back. His dedication and hard work have paid off, as he has advanced into the position of Foreman.
“Zach has proven to be a great fit for the Grade Tech team, and we are proud to recognize his hard work and dedication with a donation to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation,” said Rory Hall. “We all look forward to a day when cancer no longer devastates our families and communities.”
Please join us in congratulating Zach on his 3-year anniversary with GradeTech and wishing him more success in the years to come!
