Scope of Work:
This project involved the expansion of an existing 230 kV substation. Our role in the 8-acre expansion included site excavation; exporting 40,000 cubic yards of dirt; and importing, placing and fine grading 18,000 cubic yards of select materials for the new pad site.
Unique Problem Solved:
A project of this size typically takes 3 -4 months. However, we were tasked with providing a finished pad within 30 days in order to accommodate a third party contractor that needed to use the yard. Our experience in working in remote locations enabled us to quickly assemble the right equipment, manpower and resources needed to fast track the job and complete it within the shortened timeline.
